Charities Who Urgently Need Your Support:
Please give a look at the charities below and if you are able to please donate to them.

What we do,
There are an estimated 86,625* children in England with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. This number has trebled over the last 17 years and is rising. Thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis. Our Family Support Workers provide a lifeline to these families and children.
How does Rainbow Trust help?
When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed.
We support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents. Support is hugely varied and depends on the needs of the family. It can include:
- listening to a family’s fears and anxieties
- helping to explain illnesses, diagnoses and treatments
- keeping a seriously ill child company during hospital stays
- driving families to medical appointments to help save time and money
- organising fun activities to help sick children, their brothers and sisters
- support through bereavement and grief.

"Helping children to have a better life"
What we do and who we are.
We help protect children and prevent abuse by working with families, communities and professionals across the UK and Channel Islands. Our services play a vital role in safeguarding children and helping them thrive.
Our Childline service gives children and young people a voice when no one else is listening. Whatever problems or dangers they face, we give them somewhere to turn to for support when they need it.
Always here for children
Bullying, mental health, troubles at home, there are many reasons young people may need to call Childline.
However, thanks to you, Childline is there to support children and young people when they need it most.
Our Childline counsellors are there for young people every day of the year. Whatever issue young people are going through, no matter how big or small, our counsellors are here to listen and help.
As well as online 1-2-1 counselling, children and young people can also speak to Childline counsellors by sending an email from their Locker or by calling 0800 1111. They can explore a range of other useful Childline tools and advice for all sorts of issues they may be dealing with too.

About us.
About our support
We know that the impact of cancer on young lives is more than medical. And that impact can be felt by the entire family. That’s why we exist.
Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers who provide tailored support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.
We know everyone's different, so we work hard to provide support that’s easy to access and meets individual needs, from helping families navigate the emotional and practical impact of cancer to removing barriers and solving problems that come with a diagnosis. We are there to prioritise wellbeing and take care of the non-medical. And we stop at nothing to make sure the voices of children, young people and families are heard and their unique needs understood, so they can get the right care and support at the right time.
Cancer diagnosis is overwhelming for children, young people, and their families. It brings with it a complex blend of emotional, financial, and practical challenges.
Our Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Workers are there to offer essential support. They empower young people and families with the advice, resources, and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their care, from translating medical jargon and securing financial support, to being there to listen and help those going through treatment process their experiences. Our specialist social workers are there to make sure that no child, young person, or family faces cancer alone.

About us.
We're Mind. We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
Find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we’re making a difference across England and Wales.
We empower people with life-changing information – helping them understand mental health, make informed choices, and feel less alone in their journey.
From helplines to local Minds, we're here when it matters most – offering real help, real people, and real hope every step of the way.
We raise our voices, stand up to injustice, and push for lasting change – because everyone deserves a mental health system that truly cares.
1 in 5 young people have a mental health problem. And often, they can’t get support when they first need it.
The earlier a young person gets support for their mental health, the more effective that support will be.
We're calling on the UK government to fund a network of early support hubs for young people across England.
Local Minds offer mental health services in communities across England and Wales.
Our network of around 100 local Minds is fundamental to everything we do at national Mind.
We work with local Minds to deliver mental health services to anyone who needs them.
Each local Mind is unique. They are local charities that understand the needs of their community. They tailor their services to match.
As well as delivering services, local Minds:
- Help to plan local mental health services
- Campaign on local mental health issues and join in with national campaigns
- Change attitudes towards mental health in their area
